Seeing some of the responses to my hand shaking thing…

I’m more convinced than ever that it really is a problem. 

I’m not judging or slamming any culture of which touching strangers is customary. And if you like doing it, great. 

But.

I do want to live in a world where such things aren’t compulsory and where you don’t face any consequences for asserting autonomy over your own body. 

(And I really am all for customs and etiquette, I tend to love social rituals because they make socializing easier if everyone is on the same page.)
