okay. so like, they oppose hierarchal relationships and social structures.

and, even if this weren’t a sort of regular thing that people just do

it irritates me beyond being unrealistic

because they rarely consider that there are some tangible benefits to how hierarchies distribute labour within social groups.

it is that basic fallacy

just because some hierarchies are oppressive, it doesn’t mean that all are.¹
