i got to think this morning

about ‘she’

(since someone used this with me)

and about how exhilarated and thrilled i am when people use this pronoun with me

about how it fills me with awe and reverence

i thought about all the #girlslikeus

who

through sheer might and majesty

not only call themselves ‘she’

but are able to

bend the world into calling them

‘she’

because we are that glorious
