Can I do a quick reality check?

I’m basically saying that listening to and enjoying things like hip hop isn’t a problem. Participating in the community, also not a problem.

But. Trying to take on what you perceive to be elements of Black American culture, is over the line. Things like trying to talk AAVE. Or glorifying ‘thug’ and/or ‘ghetto’ life. Stuff like this is appropriation and/or fetishizing.
