I get the privilege of thinking about colonialism and history and stuff in

the ways that i do

because

I deal with a great deal less day-to-day overt expressions of racism

(which is, in turn, one part of the colonial machinery)

me getting to talk about and focus on colonialism and gender is

again

because that is one privilege of being white passing

(it is also partially the way that my brain works. i perceive abstract

systems better than i do concrete details)
