So, I only really know Chinese history to any extensive degree (beyond the european history that is necessarily part of a western education).

Yet... I know enough of world history to know that there are no parallels to european colonization.

No parallels. Nothing is similar.

As Black people have been saying since forever, there is no historical parallel to the Atlantic slave trade. This alone allows us to know that there are no parallels to european colonization. None.

Add in the continuing genocide of the Indigenous people of what they call the americas.

Add in the various colonies in Africa.

Add in the colonies of Asia (some that still exist).

It isn't just that europeans (and now white america) are the current bullies. It is that there is not a single parallel to what they've done.

Not one.

Not even the Mongolians. Not the Chinese. Not the Japanese (for all their war time attrocities). Not any of the large, vast empires of Africa and the americas that I'm ignorant of.
