or some such bullshit that essentially erases the agency of the children involved.

instead of being as awful as I thought it could be (and, trust me, it is plenty awful)

it is filled with this gross level of…

shall we congratulate and elevate these parents who aren’t policing the genders of these kids?

while still doing some sneaky, background raising of panic at the dramatic increase of trans kids? (obviously… a problem that must be solved!)
